Hunter Valley's Gresford TT 2010

This years Gresford rally had near perfect weather. The previous year had thrown proverbial cats and dogs at the riders but this year the sun shone, the countryside was green and lush and I had one of the best rides in ages.

Hunter Valley's Gresford TT 2009

"I shouldn't be a ladies blouse. I've got the wet weather pants strapped onto the bike. Thats usually the charm that keeps wet weather away. I'm going for a ride, at least to maccas to see what other loonies are turning up.""...and turn up they did.

Just to prove you shouldnt tempt fate it was the wettest one in club history, read reports and see Bob's video of setting off on the run

Barry Sheene Memorial Meeting 2008 Eastern Creek

"I had spent the months preceding the meeting by extending the seat length on the Seeley by 70mm, to accommodate normal sized riders, re-painting and re-upholstering in the process. I replaced the batteries, disc pads, fork oil, brake fluid, the fairing screen and the front tyre, and I had previously dyno tuned the bike again in January, to ensure the carburetor modifications were OK. I spent Thursday finishing off the bikes and loading them up, with my rollers and all my spares and bits, ready to meet up with Geoff and Gronk early on Friday morning for a day of testing and practice."

Hunter Valley's Dungog Rally 2008

I had only ridden the 16H once since the Unapproachable. It wouldn't rev out. I had been getting bits together for the original type 276 carb and decided to swap it over. When I pulled the other carb off the bike I found the fuel lines almost blocked with crud, so put the early carb on and she ran quite well straight up which was a good sign.

Took it for a blap around the block and was so enthused I decided to take it to Dungog!!!

Hunter Valley's Gresford TT 2008

"The ride to and from Gresford was a pearler. Did 154 miles all up on the Model 18. Dropped in on the Vintage Club's girder fork run on the way home and did a short lap with them. The Model 18 ran like a top all weekend." Bob

"The whole block was bikes only, with a few across the road, harking back to years past, and some great memories." Steve

Unapproachable Rally to Nundle 2008

"What a brilliant sight and sound. Old singles going about the business labouring their way up around the esses on the hill climb. Big twins down in second and third hammering up the twisties.".........

Hunter Valley's Top of the Valley Run 2008

"The Model 18 can get up and sit on 60mph. You've really got to watch the bumps in the corners at that speed on a rigid framed bike. To think that in the thirties, race bikes were doing up around 100mph with this suspension technology. Coming down the mountain at the IOM, flat on the tank, throttle wide open and going for it, jumping and bucking all over the road. They musta been brave. See ya next year."

Top of the Valley is the club's run especally for older models. more
